Seunghyun Cho (seunghyun.cho@leoniehillcapital.com)

Cho is Managing Partner and heads the Trading Team. He has over 10 years experience in the Asian and US equities, futures and options markets. He specializes in computer programming and quantitative modeling. He conducts extensive quantitative modeling on market neutral trading strategies utilizing equity indices, risk management analysis and portfolio management. He formulated NeuTrade, LHC’s original market neutral trading strategy. Cho continued with this theme and is in charge of managing funds at LHC.

Cho has a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Management from Handong University, South Korea and a Graduate Certificate in Financial Engineering from Stanford University. He is a founding Principal of Leonie Hill Capital.

Chief Risk and Compliance Officer

Arun is a partner and acts as the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer. He has over 20 years of experience in the financial and IT industries in US, Europe and Asia markets and is recognized quant expert involved with creation of market neutral strategies which included formulation of quantitative models that applied neutral equity strategies in the market.

He acts as a liaison officer between the company and various regulators such as the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), Financial Services Commission, Rep. Of Korea (FSC), Financial Services Agency, Japan (FSA) and Securities Exchange Commission, US (SEC) on matters relating to regulations such as Anti-Money Laundering/Countering Financing Terrorism etc., implementation of best practice particularly with regards to AML/CFT regulations, and ensuring compliance with laws & regulations.

Prior to joining LHC he was Executive Vice President and General Manager for LSI, Asia Pacific & Japan. He was executive lead for M&A deals in Asia and played a key role in investment and financial management, currency hedging and cost management for the company. He developed robust investment decision making process, on-going portfolio monitoring, evaluation and back office infrastructure to manage large in house portfolio.

Arun has an MBA from Stanford University and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from IIT, Madras.

Bob Lau (bob.lau@leoniehillcapital.com)
Bob is a partner and heads the Portfolio Management Team. He has over 10 years of experience in the financial, IT and Oil & Gas Industries. He specializes in structuring and quantitative modeling on market neutral trading strategies and portfolio management. He conducts financial analysis, advisory on fund strategies and formulation of portfolio.

Prior to joining LHC, he was with Ferrell Asset Management where he focused on quantitative modeling and structuring of the company investment products and feasibility studies, due diligence and structuring for the company investment in property and manufacturing sectors.

Bob has a M. Sc. (Financial Engineering) from National University of Singapore and a B. Eng. (Mechanical Engineering) from the University of Technology Malaysia

Gina Heng (gina.heng@leoniehillcapital.com)

Gina is a partner and leads the Research Department. She has over 6 years of experience in various research and analysis positions in financial industry.

She acts as Analyst for Technical Studies and key contributor on trading and technical research for LHC. She pays special attention LHC’s market neutral products.

Prior to this, she was the lead analyst for the telecommunications sector in Southeast Asia, India and Australia with Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, her research coverage also includes commodity and property sectors in the region. Prior to this, she was with Cerulli Associate specializing in strategic research for the asset management industry covering markets in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Gina has a B.A. (Political Science & Economics) from the University of Pennsylvania, USA.
